City of Gary Votes to Past Legislation Setting Vision of Broadway Plan as Public Policy

On Tuesday, June 1, the City of Gary voted and passed legislation

amending their comprehensive plan to include The Vision for Broadway

Plan in its entirety.

 

Vision for Broadway is now "public policy." Equitable development was

the guiding principle for this technical assistance effort that was

coordinated by the Planning and the Black Community Division of the American Planning

Sesquicentennial Plans March Forward; Fundraisers Planned in Light of Budget Woes

 

This time next year, the world will be watching Charleston to see how the city observes the 150th anniversary of the first shot of the War Between the States. Plans for an extravaganza hit the jetties long ago when the recession drained South Carolina’s economy.

The current Division election is to vote for: PBCD Chair-Elect, Vice Chair of Policy, Vice Chair for Programs, Secretary, Treasurer, Student Representative and Sergeant At Arms. Write in candidates welcome. Elected officers begin their terms in April 2012 at the APA National Planning Conference. VOTE TODAY!
